![]() ![]() It's just all as previously described, boot up a game, making sure you have correct BIOS firmware files, and it will not boot, but will boot if the files exist in the same directory as the game. Go inside the bios folder and paste your BIOS file (s) here. Go inside the pcsx2 folder and create a bios folder. Find that the game will not boot when files are present. Go inside your RetroArch 'system' folder (usually retroarch/system/, but if you're not sure check the path in Settings > Directory > System/BIOS ). BIOS Required or optional firmware files go in the frontends system directory.Ensure you have the correct mentioned BIOS Firmware files in the RetroArch System/BIOS directory.Load up a game like I mentioned, Policenauts Disc 1 (English Patched v1.0) with PCSX-ReARMed.WHY is it that when the files clearly exists in the configured BIOS directory goes completely ignored, while saying the files do exist, but also doesn't exist, but will work if I dump them into the game directory it's booting up? This makes no sense at all. I did a test that if I dump the BIOS files it needs into the same directory as the game is in, it then proceeds to boot up the game just fine with no issue. Find that the game will not boot when files are present. Ensure you have the correct mentioned BIOS Firmware files in the RetroArch System/BIOS directory. RetroArch says it sees the files, but pretends they don't exist. Load up a game like I mentioned, Policenauts Disc 1 (English Patched v1.0) with PCSX-ReARMed. RetroArch should see in the configured system directory for BIOS file exists and then proceed to boot the game as normal. So I don't get why it says it exists there, but the also claim it doesn't exist. If I look at the details on the Desktop Menu for RetroArch it clearly shows and says in green (!) Present on the BIOS files it needs. The particular games I struggle with the most are Tomba And Tekken 2 and 3. The FPS counter says 55-60ish when to me it looks like 5fps. But upon loading the game it gives the above mentioned error, claiming that No BIOS files found when they indeed exist in the directory its looking at. The reason I think the BIOS are not working is because of extreme slow down even with an overclocked system. The BIOS firmware files are present in the directory and have the correct MD5 hash value to them, but for some reason RetroArch isn't loading the respective BIOS file for the game that exists within the directory. (!) Present, Optional: scph5502.bin (PS1 EU BIOS) (!) Present, Optional: scph5501.bin (PS1 US BIOS) I am kind of out of ideas.(!) Present, Optional: scph5500.bin (PS1 JP BIOS) If you load PCSX-Rearmed and go into the core settings it shows that I have all 3 required bios (if I change the directory that show as missing, but they are 100. Get a working BIOS image (load the core and go to main menu > information > core information to see the name and MD5 checksum of usable BIOSes) and place it in your 'system' folder or alongside the content you're trying to run. I currently am on the newest version of retroarch which is 1.15 and have also reverted everything back to 1.14 and the issue still remains. I dont have access to create a screen shot right now but: -Directory menu is pointing to coressystem by default that has the correct scph5500.bin scph5501.bin and scph5502.bin. I DO NOT have the 'system files are in content directoy' turned on, however I do have a copy of all bios named correctly in the content directory and if i turn that on it still doesnt work. Again it was seen and verified that it was correct and seen within the core settings. ![]() ![]() I am aware it says: SYSTEM_DIRECTORY: "/retroarch/bios" that was on purpose and was to have completely fresh copies of the bios. If I load any game it shows up with the 'Cannot load bios - add for better compatibility' Strangely enough, I decided to go back and play Echo Night and found that the game now launches to a black screen and shows the PCSX boot bios, dispite having the SCPH1001.BIN in /retropie/bios/ folder. ![]() If you load PCSX-Rearmed and go into the core settings it shows that I have all 3 required bios (if I change the directory that show as missing, but they are 100% SEEN when in the core options) Directory menu is pointing to cores\system by default that has the correct scph5500.bin scph5501.bin and scph5502.bin I don't have access to create a screen shot right now but: I am trying to play a game that uses ps1 bios, I have the bios in the correct folder and the directory is pointing to the correct location. I have a switch lite that is running the newest Atmosphere version and 16.0.2 firmware. Just to start, I am very familiair with Retroarch, bios, and how to setup retroarch for every system. ![]()
